New waterfront facilities

Denholm YAM is building a prestigious waterfront facility at the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD II).

This project extends to 100,000m2 and includes the construction of the following facilities:

Steel Workshop – area of 12,000m2 divided into four different fabrication zones:

• Stainless steel piping - with 16t overhead crane
• Carbon steel piping - with 16t overhead crane
• Pressure vessels - with 32t overhead crane
• Carbon steel structural - with 32t overhead crane.

At the sides of the workshop there will be a store, additional offices and restaurant/kitchen facilities to cater for over 600 workers.

Main office building – 2800m2 divided into two floors and can accommodate approximately 200 staff.

Quayside jetty - the 50m jetty (phase I) was completed at the end of December 2007. The future plan is to develop the rest of the jetty to provide a quayside facility of 220m.

Painting workshop – area of 630m2, with 8t overhead crane.

Currently, the steel workshop structure is all completed including the pavement and the overhead cranes. The store, client offices and restaurant/kitchen facility are under construction.

Meanwhile, the civil works for the main office building are nearing completion. All other related and finishing works are ongoing. We expect final completion by September 2008 – and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which not only drives our business forward, but which is also a great place for our team to work.
