Denholm Oilfield Services has furthered its relationship with Glasgow Warriors in a bid to raise valuable funds for two children’s hospitals.
As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to raise £25,000 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, Denholm Oilfield Services’ Glasgow-based head office recently teamed up Glasgow Warriors for a fun, fundraising event.
The company, a sponsor of Glasgow Warriors, donated 30 tickets for a recent home match, enabling families in the care of Glasgow Children’s Hospital to attend the game. The company also arranged food and a pre-match training session for the children with team members.
During the evening, Denholm Oilfield Services’ volunteers Ana Knesz, Carol Adams, Chris Johnstone, Rona Darroch, Sonia Gill, Michael Wright, Nicole McClement and Hannah Stakes worked with volunteers from the hospital to sell raffle tickets which raised £2,618 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital.
Commenting on the success of the event, Denholm Oilfield Services’ CEO Michael Beveridge said: “We are delighted that this event has contributed to our ongoing fundraising efforts. As well as providing a fun day out for some very deserving families, we are indebted to the Glasgow Warriors’ fans who generously dug deep to help us towards our target.
“To date, our efforts have generated over £19,000 towards our target and we look forward to adding to this through future events.”
